The Ingwe TVET College has recently engaged into a partnership with ADA Holdings (Pty) Ltd and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
This partnership aimed to assist the college in improving and expanding its educational services to students with the aim of providing better skilled students, with better employment and entrepreneurial prospects, thereby contributing to the upliftment of the community.
With this project a consortium of well-respected and highly skilled experts has been engaged to completely turnaround the College inside out and outside in, with no job cutting but significant reskilling and improving and expanding the College in its entirety.
With this project the college will also become the first accredited trade test centre in this Eastern area within the Eastern Cape, and south western area of Kwazulu-Natal, filling an invaluable gap in skills education in one of the poorest parts of South Africa.
Significant infrastructure, facilities and equipment upgrades and new construction is underway at some of the campuses to facilitate this Trade Test Centre, and the required level of quality and safe training facilities for prospective Artisans.
100% bursaries are available to all entrants that has the required combined level of schooling and work experience. There is no age limit to these bursaries and training!
All upgrades to infrastructure and facilities will be completed by January 2015. In time for the first Artisan students starting their training for the first round of trade testing happening in March 2015!
Staff and students are about to see changes happening on all campuses!
These are exciting times for the Eastern Cape!
