Application Steps

Please read this information carefully before APPLYING online:

You can choose any of the following devices available to you:

• Cell Phone/Table
• Laptop
• Computer

ONLY applications received during the specified period will be considered. Applications received after the closing date will not be processed.

This is an application process not an acceptance offer.

Please apply on time as space are limited and preference is given to students based on merit and learners from our catchment area.

Please ensure that you have the following documents in digital format(PDF) available for uploading when requested:

• Grade 12 certificate/Statement of results or School report – whichever is applicable
• ID Document
• Proof of residence

This is for FIRST TIME APPLICANTS ONLY – if you skip a TRIMESTER/SEMESTER/YEAR or two you are regarded as a new applicant.

Successful applicants will be notified per SMS/EMAIL to come and register, ONLY after the CLOSING DATE of the application regarding the outcome and information about the registration and enrolment process.

The College DOES NOT charge any administration or registration fees.

Please apply for a NSFAS BURSARY – www.nsfas.org.za or you can be assisted on campus.

You can track your own progress on your student portal.

3 EASY STEP TO YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION

Remember to:

• Choose a username and password that you will remember as it will give you access to all the application platforms, and you can track you own status by login in your profile.
• You will also be asked to use it again for more screening when you are a student
• If your internet connection drops, you may return the same way as a returning user and you can continue where you left off.
• Lost username or password: You can reset and recover using the “returning user ” button

STEP 1 - CAREER GUIDANCE EXPLORATION

You must complete the career guidance to ensure you know which career to choose.
(You can explore careers and come back at anytime or on another time/day to complete step 2 and step 3. Just remember to keep your username and password)

• Once you have registered on the “first time here?” button, complete everything in the “pre-entry information” folder.
• Click on each button and complete ALL the screening batteries in this folder.
• Complete all the questions even if you do not know the answers.
• Click the “finish” button at the end of each assessment

NOTES REGARDING THIS ASSESSMENT:

• Please remember that doing this assessment screening is compulsory!
• However, you still have the right to choose your own course based on your preference.
• You will be requested to sign an acknowledgement that you prefer to make your own choice
• Your report can be viewed and saved by you.
• Please follow instructions and answer honestly.
• Do not let anyone else complete this screening for you as you will be recommended for the wrong course.
• If someone else completes the screening this can result in, you performing poorly in the course recommended to you.

Step 2 - PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT

• Log in your profile and complete the literacy, numeracy and course selection

NOTES REGARDING THIS ASSESSMENT:

• Please remember that doing this PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT is COMPULSORY!
• This is not a pass or fail test
• Do not let anyone else complete this assessment for you.
• This information will be utilized to assist you in becoming a successful student.
• If someone else completes this on your behalf, it can result in you performing academically poorly.

Step 3 - ONLINE APPLICATION

WITHOUT THIS FINAL STEP WE CANNOT ASSESS YOUR APPLICATION

• Complete all the sections
• Upload you documents in PDF format when request to do so
• Incomplete application cannot be processed
• Remember to click the submit button when done

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

• Expect an answer AFTER the closing date!
• Notification are sent via SMS or EMAIL
• LOST USERNAME OR PASSWORD: You can reset and recover using the RETURNING USER button
• You can track your own progress on your student portal.
